OEGL construction currently require a civil engineer to join the Power, Civil & Hydro Division in Glasgow.
Applicants must have a minimum 5 years post graduate experience and will ideally be chartered. Experience is required in project management and heavy civil engineering design with a background in one or more of the following: dams, water engineering, tunnels or geotechnical engineering. A proven track record in managing other disciplines, a strong technical background in business development, and experience of working overseas is desirable. The incumbent will be required to implement hydro electric projects of all kinds in both the UK and internationally from undertaking technical advisory and due diligence roles, through to major project design and implementation, noting that these require the understanding of the essentials of relevant mechanical and electrical equipment.
Applicants should be energetic and innovative with the desired level of technical competence, as well as willing to travel overseas extensively for short periods of time. The salary is negotiable depending on experience.
